Explore Earth Day ideas with a coloring contest for creative conservationists

ColoringPage

The easiest way to celebrate Earth Day Saturday is by downloading the recycling-themed coloring page from SWA.org/Coloring.

Saturday, April 22 is Earth Day and for those who are drawn to recycling, there may be no better way to celebrate than with an environmental coloring page from the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County and partners WFLX-TV FOX29 and Whole Foods.

Open to full- or part-time Palm Beach County residents, the coloring contest invites conservationists of all ages to test their creative skill and recycling knowledge. Winners will receive a prize and recognition at the SWA’s celebration of America Recycles Day on Nov. 18 at the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County’s Education Center (6751 N. Jog Road, West Palm Beach).

To enter, download and print the coloring page from SWA.org/Coloring. Coloring pages will also be available at Palm Beach County Whole Foods locations in the coming weeks. The deadline to enter is the close of business on Oct. 27, 2017.

Entries will be judged by age group, including a category for adults. Judges will be looking for creativity, originality, artistic skill and clarity. Artists may use whatever physical media they wish, except collage and computer-generated artwork.

Visit SWA.org/Coloring for complete rules, and, when you're done, to submit your entry!

Have fun and good luck!
