Job Description

The Director of Risk Management and Safety is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the Authority’s Risk Management and Security Programs. Negotiates, recommends and manages insured and self-insured risks including but not limited to property, liability, and workers’ compensation. Develops and implements programs to insure compliance with State and Federal laws, rules and regulations, such as OSHA, ADA, DOT and DFWP.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Risk Management, Insurance, Public or Business Administration required with a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in risk management and property and casualty insurance; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and ability. Public sector/government experience preferred; CPCU or ARM designation preferred.
