Tipping Fee Rates and Payment Methods
Customers
disposing of material at the landfill or at a SWA transfer station have the option of paying for their tipping
fees with cash, a
pre-approved business check or Solid Waste Authority charge account.
To apply for a Solid Waste Authority charge account or check cashing
ability choose the appropriate link below, complete the required forms and

SWA Charge Account
To pay by credit, a business must first complete a
credit application.
The approval process takes approximately two weeks. Once approved, a
deposit amount is determined at 1.5 times the estimated monthly
usage. The deposit can be in the form of cash or, if $5,000 or more,
an insurance bond. Credit accounts are reviewed periodically to
ensure a proper deposit amount.
Charge Credit Application
Business Check
To pay by check (business only), a check credit
application must be completed. The approval process takes
approximately two business days. Once approved, one check can be used
per site per day for all incoming loads of debris.

Credit Application
Cash
To pay by cash, a deposit is required upon entering
the scale house. This deposit is based on the capacity of the vehicle and
the type of debris. Upon weigh-out
the empty weight is subtracted from the full weight recorded inbound and
the net weight and total fee is calculated.
The customer then receives a refund of excess deposit or pays any
additional funds due.

Weighing Out After Posted Closing Time
If you weigh out after the posted closing time, your
transaction cannot be completed. The
Authority will refund all excess deposits of $5.00 or more. In order to receive a refund please do
the following:
On the top portion of the pink
scale ticket write your full name or company name, address, and
telephone number of the location where the refund should be
sent. Also write the empty
weight of your vehicle on the ticket (obtain from the read-out
located above you on the ceiling of the scale house)
Mail the pink scale ticket to the following address:

The scale ticket must be mailed within 48 hours of the
initial transaction to receive a refund.
Only refunds of $5.00 or more will be processed. Please allow four weeks for processing.
