Used Motor Oil
Are you a
Do-It-Yourself oil changer?
Well, you're not alone. Last year, the SWA recycled more than 31,095
gallons of used oil we received from Palm Beach County residents. We
continuously strive to collect and recycle more used oil. However, we
still need to get this message out:
Used oil doesn't belong
in our ground or water table!
Residents can bring used motor oil to the
Solid Waste Authority Household Hazardous Waste Facility or any SWA
transfer station free of charge. There is a
SWA drop-off location near
you. We make it easy for every do-it-yourself oil changer to
properly dispose of their oil.
So the next time you buy motor oil, take
your used oil back. There is a disposal location on the way.

may charge a small fee to accept it. Please call your
