Landfill Operations
The SWA operates both a Class 1 and a
Class 3 landfill. With a total of over 50 million yards of
airspace, the landfill is expected to provide capacity through 2021.

Residential Materials Recycling
Facility
Materials collected from
curbside and multi-family housing units is delivered to the RMRF.
Here these materials are sorted, baled, and shipped to market.

Resource Recovery Facility
The NCRRF is a refuse-derived fuel waste-to-energy facility. It
processes over 850,000 tons per year of solid waste into
refuse-derived fuel. This fuel is burned to produce electricity
that is sold to Florida Power and Light. Click

Transfer Stations
The SWA operates five transfer stations in
Palm Beach County. These transfer stations accept and haul nearly
1.4 million tons of solid waste and recyclables per year. Click

Woody Waste Recycling Facility
The SWA receives more than 250,000 tons of
yard waste per year, approximately 100,000 tons of which is processed at
this facility. Approximately half of the mulch produced is
