The following meetings may require public notice.  All meetings will be held at the Solid Waste Authority Administration Building at 7501 N. Jog Road in West Palm Beach unless otherwise stated.  As meeting dates, times, and locations are subject to change, please call to confirm.

NOTICE OF MEETING POSTPONEMENT

The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County announces that its regular meeting schedule for August 27, 2008 at 9:00AM has been postponed.

 

A Special Meeting and Public Hearing to which all persons are invited will take place as follows:

 

DATE & TIME: August 28, 2008 at 9:30 AM
PLACE: Board of County Commissioners Chambers
Palm Beach County Governmental Center
301 North Olive Avenue, 6th Floor
West Palm Beach, FL
PURPOSE: Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments, adopt the budget, approve the assessment and tip fee rates, approve the tip fee rate schedule, and approve assessment rates for Disposal and Collection of solid waste for fiscal year 2008/2009.

Approve ILA between the Authority and Palm Beach County for the purchase of fill material from the Winding Waters Natural Area subject to review and approval by Legal Counsel.

 

The Regular Meeting to discuss the general business of the Solid Waste Authority will be scheduled for a later date.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE AND BE ADVISED that if a person desires to appeal any decision made by the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County with respect to any matter considered at subject meeting, (s)he will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105).
