SWA is WILD about its Volunteers!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of many organizations, and the Solid Waste Authority of PBC is no exception. Our volunteers are crucial to our daily operations, and they met the challenge in 2007 and 2008 by contributing over 18,547 hours of volunteer service valued at $361,856.85! On April 4, 2009, SWA celebrated all of its volunteers by hosting a Volunteer Recognition Brunch. We were able to show them that “SWA is WILD about its Volunteers!” This event was a small token of appreciation for the big contribution that the volunteers make each and every time they give the most precious gift of their time.
