Recycling Home Page
Recycling has become second nature
to so many of us that we forget how much of a difference we're really
making.
Recycling preserves our natural
resources, conserves energy, prevents pollution and protects our
environment.
We're happy to report that you are doing
a great job recycling in Palm Beach County. To all of you who participate in our
program - thank you. For those who don't and for those who would
like to learn more, you have come to the right place.
To all of you who have asked about caps
on plastic bottles, here is the scoop! Preferably, the caps should be
removed and thrown in the garbage – they are a different type of plastic
than the container itself and too small to be recycled by themselves.
However, contrary to popular myth, if the caps are left on, the plastic
bottles are still recycled! The cap is removed by the mill during the
recycling process.
Keep those recyclables coming!
