Customer Information Services

The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County's Customer Information Service (CIS) team is responsible for making sure each customer receives their garbage, bulk item, yard waste and recycling collection services on their scheduled collection day within unincorporated Palm Beach County.

We ask our customers that have a collection issue to immediately call the SWA customer service team 561-697-2700 to report their collection concern. The team will immediately notify the service provider to have the problem resolved in a timely manner.

The CIS team is responsible to provide an accurate countywide residential and commercial disposal assessment each year. For any questions or concerns regarding your annual assessment for your property tax, call us at 561-697-2700.

Additionally the CIS team is responsible for removing all disaster debris within unincorporated Palm beach County in a safe and timely manner making sure the maximum FEMA reimbursement is received. Furthermore the CIS team oversees the SWA Supplemental Waste Blighted and Distressed Property Clean-up and Beautification Grant Application which has funded our Municipal and other government institutions a total of $4,254,528.54 for beautification projects within Palm Beach County to date.

An array of community service programs is also offered through the CIS Department. Programs include Adopt-A-Spot litter prevention, Illegal dumping program and Recycled Paint donation program helping to beautify Communities County wide.

We also proudly support our community partners Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Paint Your Heart Out and Rebuilding Together of the Palm Beaches who assist residents with community cleanups, neighborhood beautification and home improvement projects.

Our Administrative, Green Team and Neighbor to Neighbor volunteers support SWA staff with administrative projects, community outreach and special events. The Virtual Volunteer Program is a new addition in which our volunteers help educate our residents about the importance of waste prevention and recycling right through fun DIY arts and craft projects shared on our website and social media.
