In-School Environmental Lessons

The SWA Education Team is only offering virtual presentations at this time. To request a virtual lesson, please fill out the Virtual Lesson Request Form.

The SWA's K-12 classroom lessons are a fun and innovative way of teaching students about solid waste and the importance of Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and Rethinking!

Elementary lessons are designed to be done with two classes at a time, with a schedule of changing classes.
*Please let us know at the time of scheduling if there is a vacant classroom. We would prefer to be stationary and have students come to us.

Middle and high school lessons are scheduled to allow for changing classes when possible. Science teachers may want to join together for certain projects. The emphasis of these lessons is to promote following the 4Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink!

Student programs are conducted March - May, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., depending on the program selected. To schedule, please check for open dates on the Education Calendar and then complete the School Environmental Lesson Request Form. Please note, this is a request form and not a guarantee of a scheduled program.
