Transfer stations provide more than just a location for the County’s haulers to dispose of garbage, trash, vegetation and recyclables. All of the transfer stations have “Citizens Convenience Areas” where residents can drop off recyclables and household hazardous waste. View drop-off locations
Residents can drop off plastic containers #1 through #7, glass bottles and jars, aluminum cans, milk and juice cartons, drink boxes, newspapers, cardboard, magazines, catalogs, brown paper bags, and school/office paper.
Household hazardous waste is accepted at all of the SWA's transfer stations. Hours and materials accepted do vary, so visit the Home Chemical and Recycling Centers
, or call 561-697-2700 or 866-SWA INFO (toll free) from the Glades or South County.
