The video below shows a time-lapse of the construction of Renewable Energy Facility 2. Construction started in January 2012 and the facility began commercial operation in July 2015. This was the most expensive project to date in the history of Palm Beach County, costing almost $700 million. You can see the stack being built in seven-foot sections. Look at how many cranes are moving. They build the inside, then put up the panels on the outside.
