[ARCHIVED] Recycled paint program revitalizes Palm Beach County properties

The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County has provided thousands of gallons of recycled paint to residents in need of maintaining the exterior of their homes. 

Your neighbors can once again get a one-time donation of this free, high-quality exterior latex house paint, choosing from 10 colors. We need your to help identify those residents in your community who would benefit from this opportunity. 

To qualify for a one-time paint donation, recipients must:

  • Reside in Palm Beach County 
  • Live in the home; owner-occupied 
  • Reside in a single-family home
  • Have a home of 3,000 square feet or less 

Qualifying residents can apply by visiting swa.org/paint or by calling the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County’s Customer Services Team at 561-697-2700 or 866-SWA-INFO (866-792-4636) toll-free. If approved, the recycled paint will be available for pick up in approximately four to six weeks. Applicants will be contacted when their paint is available. 

Palm Beach County residents who have old paint to donate may visit any of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County’s seven Home Chemical and Recycling Centers and drop it off for free.

In the last fiscal year, Palm Beach County residents recycled 2,041,660 pounds of latex paint at the SWA’s Home Chemical and Recycling Centers. Each year, the SWA’s Home Chemical and Recycling Centers either recycles or safely disposes of 4.2M pounds of household hazardous wastes.
