Almost every home has some chemical product that can be hazardous if not disposed of properly. When moving or cleaning out the garage or shed, many household hazardous items are just thrown away, possibly posing a threat to the public, solid waste workers, and our environment. Items such as propane tanks, pesticides, paints and electronics all require special care and should not be tossed in the trash.
Palm Beach County residents are encouraged to separate these items and other household hazardous wastes from their household garbage and dispose of them for FREE at one of the SWA’s seven Home Chemical and Recycling Centers:
